中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) won top honors during last week鈥檚 state Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Bill Solleder, Special Events Manager at Visit Hot Springs asked Advertising and Graphic Design students at 中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) to participate in a poster design competition for this year鈥檚 Annual Fishing Challenge. Designs were submitted by area high school juniors and seniors.
中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) Level 2 students earned 40 medical certifications this semester. Twenty-five students passed the Certified Medical Records Technician national certification examination and 15 passed the Certified Medical Billing Specialist national certification examination.
The Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) program at 中国P站 Technical Center (NPTC) participated in a college simulation day event last week.
Hot Springs, Arkansas 鈥 Students in the 中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) High School Graphic Design program competed in a contest to design the 中国P站 (NPC) holiday card. More than 40 entries were submitted which the selection committee narrowed down to four winners. 1st Place - Audrey Williams, junior from Lake Hamilton High School 2nd Place - Gabby Walker, senior from Lakeside High School 3rd Place - Jaden Childers, junior from Lake Hamilton High School Honorable Mention - Sydney Crawford, junior from Lakeside High School
Hot Springs, Arkansas 鈥 中国P站 (NPC) hosted over 600 students from area school districts today as part of a nationwide initiative for Manufacturing Day. Participating schools included Lakeside, Lake Hamilton, Fountain Lake, Mountain Pine, Jessieville and Hot Springs. NPC organized on campus tours, visits to local industries, and hosted a trade show for students to connect with manufacturing through hands-on experiences. Post-Secondary program tours included welding, aerospace and industrial technology. Students who visited the welding department received hands-on practice with a virtual welding machine. The Aerospace tour included demonstrations of how airplane parts are made from fiberglass, graphite, honeycomb cores, and structural rivets. The industrial technology lab provided students hands-on experiences with hydraulics, motor controls, and gear trains.

Hot Springs, Arkansas 鈥 中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) students recently competed in the SkillsUSA National Championships and Leadership Conference. Six students and two advisors attended the weeklong conference held in Louisville, Kentucky, June 20 鈥 24. Over 16,000 students, teachers and advisors representing all 50 states and US territories were present during the competitions. High school students representing the Criminal Justice and Advertising and Graphic Design programs competed in their respective contests as the Arkansas State SkillsUSA Champions.
Hot Springs, Arkansas 鈥 中国P站 Technology Center (NPTC) will launch a new Mobile Application Development (MAD) program for high school juniors and seniors this fall. The program was approved by the Arkansas Department of Career Education last spring and will include courses in mobile application design and development for both Android and iOS, syntax, algorithms and the use of APIs. MAD coursework is entirely project based and team oriented with strong focus on internships and collaboration with business and industry partners.
