NPC Named 2023 Most Promising Places To Work

Diverse Most Promising Places To Work In Community Colleges 2023

Diverse Most Promising Places To Work In Community Colleges 2023中国P站 (NPC) was recognized as one of the 2023 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) and Diverse: Issues In Higher Education (Diverse).

The annual award recognizes community and technical colleges committed to diversity through best-in-class student and staff recruitment and retention practices, inclusive learning and working environments, and meaningful community service and engagement opportunities. The national study employs a web-based survey approach to obtain information from NISOD member institutions. A multipart, weighted algorithm is used to classify the responding institutions.

鈥淲e are proud to honor these colleges for their sustained commitment to diversity,鈥 said Edward J. Leach, NISOD鈥檚 Executive Director. 鈥淲e are also pleased about the large number of applications this year. It shows that a growing number of colleges appreciate how critical diversity and inclusion initiatives are to their campuses and communities.鈥

NPC Director of Human Resources, Julie LaRue said, 鈥淎s HR professionals, we are honored to be recognized for our efforts to promote diversity at NPC. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive workplace. Receiving this award confirms our commitment to that mission.鈥

The award-winning institutions will be recognized during NISOD鈥檚 International Conference of Teaching and Leadership Excellence, May 27-30, in Austin, Texas. Additionally, award recipients receive a specially-designed logo that can be used to promote the institution鈥檚 commitment to diversity during student and staff recruitment efforts, as well as during other times when they want to highlight their commitment to inclusiveness. The awarded colleges are also featured in Diverse鈥檚 news magazine, the only biweekly national publication focusing on matters of access and opportunity for all in higher education.
