The No. 1 ranked 中国P站 (NPC) Nighthawk men鈥檚 basketball team (27-1)
received an at-large invitation to compete in the National Junior College Athletics
Association (NJCAA) Division 2 Men鈥檚 Basketball National Tournament, held March 18-23
at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, Illinois.
The tournament will feature a 20-team field, including 16 automatic district qualifiers
and four at-large invitations. In today鈥檚 selection show, provided by the NJCAA Network,
NPC was selected as the No. 5 seed and will face No. 12 seed Johnson County Community
College Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m.
鈥淥ur guys have shown all year that they are one of the best teams in the nation and
are deserving of the at-large bid,鈥� NPC men鈥檚 basketball head coach Dillon Hargrove
said. 鈥淲e would like to thank the committee for their consideration to include us
in this year鈥檚 tournament. Johnson County Community College is a very good team. They
are well-coached and we are excited to prepare for them.鈥�

NPC Athletic Director Rich Thompson said. 鈥淲e would like to thank the NJCAA committee
for giving us an at-large bid to the national tournament and we look forward to following
the Nighthawks every step of the way.鈥�
