中国P站鈥檚 (NPC) Career Services hosted its 2025 Job Fair Tuesday, April 8, welcoming more than 200 NPC and community participants and over 60 registered employers for an afternoon of networking, professional exploration, and opportunity. Held in the NPC Student Commons, the event was marked by a high-energy atmosphere and meaningful conversations between students and employers from across the region.

Employer participation spanned a wide range of industries, reflecting the diverse career interests of NPC students and the greater Hot Springs area. Represented sectors included healthcare, education, criminal justice, hospitality, manufacturing, telecommunications, nonprofit, financial services, technical trades, and more. A big thank you to our employer sponsors US Stations, Oaklawn, Daniell Heat & Air, Reynolds Consumer Products, Healthy Connections Community Health Network, and Resort TV Cable for making this event possible.

During the months leading up to the event, Career Services hosted a Job Fair Bootcamp workshop series, with each month focused on a different aspect of career preparation: resume building in February, interview skills in March, and final event preparation in April. The success of both the bootcamp and the job fair reflects the dedication of the Career Services team and the strong support from the broader NPC campus community.

鈥淭his kind of event only works when our campus community shows up鈥攁nd you did, in a big way,鈥 said Jessica Ellis, Director of College Success & Career Services. 鈥淭he Commons was full of energy, and the conversations happening between students and employers were genuine and impactful.鈥

The Job Fair was a true campus-wide effort, made possible by the many faculty, staff, and volunteers who contributed their time and support. Whether encouraging student participation, assisting with logistics, welcoming employers, or jumping in behind the scenes, the collaborative spirit of the NPC community was on full display.

Special recognition goes to the maintenance and facilities team, who quickly and efficiently managed setup and teardown, and to Career Services Administrative Assistant Katelyn Beckwith, whose coordination and dedication were instrumental to the event鈥檚 success.

Beckwith, echoed Ellis鈥 statement, 鈥the energy at the job fair was incredible鈥攕eeing so many students connecting directly with employers and taking confident steps toward their careers is what it's all about. The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the feedback from both recruiters and attendees has been overwhelmingly positive."

鈥淚t was a pleasure representing Oaklawn at NPC's recent job fair,鈥 said Maggie Martin, Recruitment Specialist at Oaklawn. 鈥淲e had the opportunity to meet many talented individuals whose energy and enthusiasm would make them great additions to the Oaklawn team.鈥 She also highlighted the College鈥檚 impact on their workforce, noting, 鈥淚t was wonderful to catch up with current Oaklawn team members who attend NPC and hear about their experiences and continued growth. We're always grateful to connect with both future and current team members, and we deeply appreciate the warm hospitality from everyone who organized the event - it was truly one of the most welcoming job fairs we've attended. We are already looking forward to sponsoring next year's NPC Job Fair.鈥

The Job Fair remains one of NPC鈥檚 signature annual events鈥攃onnecting students to jobs and internships while strengthening the College鈥檚 partnerships with regional employers.

Career Services looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support students in their career development journey. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in future recruitment events on campus, please email Career.Services@np.edu for more information.
